About the Apprentice Program
Are you based in the Northeast and looking to build a high-demand, long-term trade career? This paid, full-time Apprenticeship is designed for motivated individuals eager to master a valuable skilled trade. You will receive hands-on training and direct mentorship from experienced Elevator Mechanics, gaining the expertise required to install, service, and maintain residential elevators safely and efficiently across the regional Northeast.
We invest directly in your future. Most Apprentices transition to a fully qualified Service Technician or Installation Mechanic within 12–18 months—unlocking post-promotion earning potential of $60,000 to $90,000 .
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside senior mechanics to install, inspect, and service residential elevators.
- Learn to read electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical layouts.
- Operate power and hand tools safely while adhering strictly to industry safety standards.
- Lift, carry, and maneuver heavy components in job-site conditions.
- Travel throughout the Northeast region to complete client installations with a focus on quality and safety.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Travel: Willing and able to travel up to 90% (primarily regional Northeast travel).
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and perform rigorous physical labor throughout the day.
- Work Environment: Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined or tight spaces.
- Tool & Safety Aptitude: Practical knowledge of hand tools and a commitment to job site safety.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean, acceptable driving record.
Preferred Experience & Characteristics:
- Background in construction, electrical work, mechanics, or related trades.
- Military experience—veterans are strongly encouraged to apply!
- Strong customer-first attitude, high mechanical curiosity, and a drive to learn.
