Job description:
Overview

• We are currently seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Home Improvement Consumer Products lab team. As a Lab Tech, you will play a crucial role in conducting various tests and experiments to ensure the quality and safety of our consumer products. This is a full-time (40HOURS), in-person position, at the company.
  
  Worker performs physical and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products. This is a very active position and will require someone with a strong work ethic to keep up.
  
  This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:
  • Work with multiple teams to complete prioritized testing across multiple test methods.
  • Prepare materials and organize for product testing.
  • Assist in laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and products based on research.
  • Perform mechanical performance tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.
  • May test or make visual observations on product samples from competitors and communicate test results to the appropriate requester.
  • Conduct hands-on tests with multiple pieces of equipment.
  
  
  
  
  Basic Qualifications:
  • Highschool Diploma
  • Able to work 8-4 M-F
  • Ability to perform tests at high repetitions.
  • Have prior experience with hands-on testing.
  • Have proficient hand eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  
  
  
  
  Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated and results driven.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written & oral.
  • Adaptability to team needs and working for many individuals in various groups.
  • Prior laboratory or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with IMASS, Instron, or Slip/Peel testing.
  • Experience with Excel and Word.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and implement solutions.
  • Ability to take instructions (verbal and written) and complete a task with little or no supervision
  
  
  
  
  Top Must-Haves:
  Team worker with good physical mobility and dexterity, good observations skills, and excellent communication. Must have the ability to adapt and adjust to team's needs.
