Job Description
ClearWater Laboratory is looking for a full-time laboratory technician. Course experience in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Environmental Science is preferred but not a requirement. The technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Performing daily and weekly routines on water flea cultures including synthetic freshwater preparation, properly storing and maintaining food stocks, daily health and reproduction assessments, and culture equipment maintenance.
· Conducting water flea tests including water chemistry monitoring, daily feeding, and water changes.
· Performing daily and weekly routines with brook and rainbow trout tests including daily feedings, tank and equipment cleaning and maintenance, water chemistry monitoring, health assessments, and daily tank water renewals.
· Performing routine chemistry testing such as Total Residual Chlorine (TRC), Specific Conductance, pH, Dissolved Oxygen.
· Maintaining detailed bench sheets and logbooks.
· Performing daily and weekly laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance.
· Preparing reagents and standards.
· Receiving and properly storing wastewater samples.
· Daily cleaning of dishware and carboys.
· Understanding and following Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices and procedures, SOPs, and safety protocols.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.65 - $17.65 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
