CONTEXT: Our client, a growing provider of hydrovac / hydro excavation services, is seeking a Sales Representative β Hydrovac and Excavation to drive revenue growth across oil & gas, pipeline, and industrial construction markets. This role is responsible for developing new business and positioning hydrovac services as a safe, efficient solution for excavation and environmental needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and manage relationships with E&P operators, midstream companies, contractors, and industrial clients.
- Prospect and win new business through cold outreach, networking, and field engagement.
- Identify opportunities for daylighting, trenching, facility support, and environmental services.
- Grow existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and expanding service scope.
- Conduct site visits, job walks, and client meetings to understand project needs.
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and service solutions.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure timely scheduling, execution, and customer satisfaction.
- Track activity and pipeline in CRM and manage full sales cycle from lead to close.
- Stay informed on market activity, competitor positioning, and upcoming projects.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years of outside sales experience in oil & gas, construction, or industrial services.
- Experience selling services such as hydrovac, environmental, rentals, or field services preferred.
- Strong understanding of pipeline, excavation, or field operations is a plus.
- Proven ability to generate new business and close deals.
- Comfortable working in both office and field environments.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage territory and priorities independently.
