LOCATION: Haslet, TX
CONTEXT: Our client is seeking an experienced and safety-driven CDL Class A Driver to join their fleet operations. This role is responsible for the professional transport and delivery of ready-mix concrete and bulk materials to various project sites. They prioritize drivers with a strong background in specialized hauling and a commitment to maintaining a drug-free, compliant workplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate Class A vehicles, including ready-mix trucks, water tankers, or vacuum trucks, ensuring all loads are secured and transported according to weight and safety regulations.
- Maneuver heavy equipment into challenging construction environments; manage concrete slump/consistency and handle extension chutes or hoses for precise material placement.
- Efficiently haul fuel products, water, or dry bulk materials (cement/fly ash) between vendor locations and plants.
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, including maintaining accurate ELD logs and participating in mandatory pre-employment and ongoing drug testing.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness; perform routine cleaning of drums and discharge systems to prevent material buildup.
- Manage delivery tickets and load manifests, ensuring all site-specific requirements are met and documented.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience is required.
- Candidates with experience in mixer trucks or hauling fuel-related materials—such as water tankers, septic vacuum, or fuel products—are highly preferred.
- Must possess a valid Class A CDL and a current DOT Medical Certificate.
- Must successfully pass a FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse background check.
- While ASE or ASE Diesel certifications are preferred, candidates who also hold OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Safety certifications will be given top consideration.
