What are the responsibilities and job description for the Panel Technician Helper position at Power-Flo Technologies Inc?
Panel Technician Helper Primary Function :
The Panel Technician Helper will be trained to build custom control panels.
In this position you will work with experienced technicians to learn:
- Basic electrical theory
- To read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
- Mechanically layout and mount hardware components
- Wire complete panel in accordance with PFT panel procedures, UL508A specifications, and other best practices as given by the panel shop supervisor
- The use of hand tools, i.e. jigsaw, drills, wrenches, screwdrivers
- The use of electrical test equipment, i.e. Multi meter
- Torque check and marking in accordance with PFT procedures
- Test Custom Industrial Control Panels and OEM Products
- Point to Point wire tests in accordance with PFT testing procedures
Along with acquiring technical knowledge, you will be responsible for the following:
- Accounting for parts required for the job
- Maintaining a neat and orderly work area at all times
- Organizing and maintaining shop tools and equipment
- Organizing and maintaining personal tools
- Organizing and maintaining your project items and materials
- Help maintain common shop supplies IE Labels, wire ties, wire, etc.
Panel Technician Helper Qualifications :
- Previous experience, training, or schooling in electrical work
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools and other power tools
- Willingness to learn
- Current, valid, and clean NYS driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for up to 8 Hours
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work on elevated platforms
- Ability to climb ladders
- This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching
- You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery
Full-time, Monday - Friday, on-site.
Candidates need a clean and valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.
$16 - $18/hour
