What are the responsibilities and job description for the RIGGER LEADER position at PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD?
You will serve as a RIGGER LEADER in the RIGGING & OPERATIONS DIVISION, LIFTING & HANDLING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

*Assigns work to the group and works along other employees, setting the pace for the scheduled work.
*Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, test memos, and process instructions.
*Ensure that blueprints and related documents are available and all required assist personnel connected with equipment testing have been notified.
*Checks work in progress to ascertain that standard safety practices and good housekeeping rules are properly followed.
*Keeps all records, forms, and other paperwork on file, up to date, and accessible to shop supervision
