You will serve as a PAINTER LEADER in the COATINGS & SERVICES SHOP (CODE 971), PRODUCTION RESOURCE DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

- Operating complex equipment such as High Volume Low Pressure {HVLP) sprays, airless pumps, and blasting equipment to prepare and coat interior and exterior surfaces.
- Identifying coating materials to mix, match, tint, and tone surfaces.
- Interpreting instructions policies and procedures, drawings, specifications, and standards pertaining to painting.
- Using a variety of knifing and troweling compounds to build up, shape, and level.
- Applying paints at required mil thicknesses.
