At Ploy, we’re building the first growth automation software with your website at its core. We serve innovative operators at growth and marketing agencies, tech start-ups, and some traditional industries as well.


They build their website with Ploy’s agents, and then those agents automatically research the landscape and business context, identify winning strategies for account-based personalization, SEO/AEO, conversion rate optimization, and ship dozens of on-brand, on-strategy web pages in seconds to drive traffic and conversions.


Our vision is to completely re-define the concept of a marketing website in today’s agentic world.


And tear down the broken, archaic low-code tech stacks of the last generation of website builders. With agents, we can unburden a world of story-tellers from manual work, long timelines, and being blocked by internal and external resourcing, and return them to a world of, “yes, and” “let’s just do it.”

About the Role

From our experience at Webflow and other category-defining companies, we believe deeply that great sales is not about pushing software. It’s about understanding how ambitious teams work, where they are blocked, and how a new way of building can unlock a step-change in speed, creativity, and growth.


Ploy is hiring an Account Executive to help bring that new way of working to market.


You’ll own the full sales cycle with growth teams, marketing leaders, agency operators, founders, and traditional businesses who are rethinking what their website should be capable of in an AI-native world.


This role sits at the intersection of sales, growth, product, and category creation. You’ll help prospects understand why the old website workflow is breaking, why agentic growth automation is different, and how Ploy can help them ship faster, personalize more deeply, rank across search and answer engines, and convert more of the traffic they already have.


This is a high-ownership sales role at an early-stage startup. You won’t just inherit a mature playbook and run the same demo every day. You’ll help build the playbook: the discovery motion, the demo narrative, the qualification framework, the objection handling, the pricing conversations, the close plans, and the feedback loops that shape our product and GTM strategy.


You should be someone who is curious, sharp, ambitious, and comfortable selling a new category before the market has fully named it. You know how to create urgency without being pushy, build trust with sophisticated buyers, and turn ambiguity into clear next steps.


What You’ll Own

  • Full-cycle sales — Own opportunities from discovery through demo, evaluation, negotiation, and close
  • Pipeline generation — Partner with founders, growth, marketing, and BDR/SDR teammates to build and convert a qualified pipeline
  • Discovery & qualification — Understand prospects’ website workflows, growth goals, team structure, current tooling, resourcing constraints, pain points, budget, timing, and decision process
  • Product storytelling — Deliver compelling demos that connect Ploy’s product capabilities to the customer’s actual business priorities
  • Category education — Help buyers understand agentic websites, AI-powered growth automation, SEO/AEO, personalization, CRO, and why the traditional website builder stack is no longer enough
  • Deal strategy — Build thoughtful close plans, navigate stakeholders, handle objections, and create urgency around meaningful business outcomes
  • Customer and market insight — Bring structured feedback from sales conversations back to product, marketing, growth, and leadership
  • Sales process development — Help define the early sales playbook, including messaging, qualification criteria, demo flow, pricing motions, and repeatable operating rhythms
  • CRM ownership — Keep HubSpot clean and accurate with next steps, deal notes, pipeline stages, stakeholders, close dates, and forecast inputs
  • Cross-functional partnership — Work closely with product, growth, marketing, customer success, and founders to make sure the customer experience is tight from first conversation to onboarding


Qualifications

The ideal candidate has:

  • 2–5 years of experience in sales, account executive, business development, founder-led sales, growth, or another customer-facing GTM role
  • Experience selling B2B software, ideally to marketing, growth, agency, startup, or operator audiences
  • Strong discovery skills and the ability to understand a buyer’s business, pain points, priorities, and decision process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong product instincts — you can understand a complex product quickly and explain it in a way that feels simple, concrete, and exciting
  • A genuine interest in startups, AI, marketing, websites, growth, agencies, and the future of GTM
  • Comfort selling in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where the pitch, product, and market are still evolving
  • A bias toward action — you do not wait for perfect enablement materials to start learning, testing, and improving
  • Strong judgment around urgency, qualification, and deal quality
  • Comfort managing multiple opportunities, follow-ups, stakeholders, and next steps at once
  • Curiosity and coachability — you want feedback, learn quickly, and are excited to get better every week
  • Strong CRM discipline and attention to detail
  • Comfort working closely with founders, product, growth, marketing, and customer-facing teams
  • Comfort working in-person with a fast-moving team in New York City
  • Bonus: experience selling marketing technology, website platforms, CMS products, AI products, personalization tools, SEO/CRO tools, or agency services
  • Bonus: experience with HubSpot, Apollo, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, Attention, or similar GTM tools
  • Bonus: you already follow the AI, growth, startup, GTM, Webflow, agency, or creator ecosystem and have strong opinions about what makes a great sales motion


This role is for someone who wants to move fast, own revenue, help define a new category, and sell a product trying to redefine what a marketing website can be.
