Mobile QA Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Mobile QA Engineer to support an organization within the software development industry. The Mobile QA Engineer role is ideal for a senior quality assurance professional with extensive experience in manual mobile testing, strong knowledge of QA practices within the SDLC, and the ability to lead testing efforts in fast‑paced environments.

Responsibilities of the Mobile QA Engineer:

• Perform manual testing of iOS and Android mobile applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance standards are met
• Create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements
• Participate throughout the SDLC to ensure quality is embedded at every stage of development
• Test and validate RESTful APIs using appropriate tools and methodologies
• Apply white box testing knowledge to improve test coverage and defect identification
• Estimate testing scope and timelines while monitoring test execution progress
• Track, analyze, and report on test metrics and quality indicators
• Identify, document, and manage defects while collaborating with developers and stakeholders
• Provide leadership within QA initiatives while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  
  

Qualifications of the Mobile QA Engineer:

• 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a focus on manual mobile application testing
• 8 years of overall experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and SDLC best practices
• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of white box testing concepts and techniques
• Experience with test planning, scope estimation, execution monitoring, and test metrics
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to learn complex systems quickly
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working with cross‑functional teams
  
  

Compensation for the Mobile QA Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $120,000 -$140,000
