As part of the Technology organization, you will contribute to the design, development, and support of enterprise applications that drive critical business functions. This role requires a hands-on Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Oracle PL/SQL, and Shell Scripting to build scalable, high-performing applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. You will play a key role throughout the software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing, deployment, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based enterprise applications.
- Develop clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices.
- Design, develop, and optimize complex Oracle SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, and database objects.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation, deployment, batch processing, and system monitoring.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, DevOps, and Application Production Support teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Support production deployments and ongoing application maintenance.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of professional experience developing applications using Java 8 or later.
- 5 years of experience developing with Oracle PL/SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and packages.
- Strong experience with Shell Scripting (Bash, KornShell, or similar) for automation and batch processing.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design patterns.
- Experience using GitHub or other distributed version control systems.
- Hands-on experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience participating in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Spring Framework.
- Experience with HTML and CSS.
- Familiarity with Maven or other build automation tools.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience using Eclipse and Toad.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Willingness to learn and leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled development tools, to improve productivity and software quality.
