Financial Control Consultant

Our Client, a financial services organization, is seeking a highly motivated accounting professional to support the Finance team. This role is responsible for general ledger management, financial analysis, internal and external reporting, month-end close activities, and special projects. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly and quarterly close activities in accordance with US GAAP.
• Prepare account reconciliations and reporting to ensure financial accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements, Head Office reporting, BHC reporting, and other financial reports.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement variances.
• Develop recurring and ad hoc financial reports, schedules, and analyses for management.
• Assist with the preparation of internal and external financial reporting.
• Stay current on accounting standards and apply them to assigned responsibilities.
• Develop a strong understanding of the bank's business operations and workflows.
• Partner with internal and external auditors by providing requested documentation and support.
• Support finance system enhancements and participate in special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 5 years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Financial services or banking industry experience preferred.
