MRO Buyer (onsite)

Overview:

The MRO Buyer is responsible for:

• Procuring the materials, services, and supplies needed for various functions, including production, maintenance, and administration.
• Purchasing goods and services, sourcing replacement parts and equipment, and acquiring resources to support production processes, facility maintenance, and human resource needs.
• Understanding of the tools for the purchasing process, as well as the tracking of purchases (IMPC, PMCS, IM MALL, ARIBA, etc.).
• Requesting quotations and finding the best price for the required material and/or service.
• Identifying and engaging with qualified suppliers to establish reliable partnerships.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in purchasing MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies in a maquiladora environment or a similar high-volume manufacturing setting.
• Must have experience sourcing new vendors and negotiations.
• Strong background in managing suppliers overseas, with knowledge of global logistics and customs processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly: Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis tools), PowerPoint (for presentations), Outlook (for communication and scheduling).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, SharePoint, and Planner.
• Knowledge of Power BI is a plus (visualizing procurement data and creating dashboards).
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
