Volleyball Coach

Summary
RW Combs Elementary is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as the Girl's Volleyball Coach for the upcoming seasonal program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volleyball, a love for teaching young athletes, and the ability to foster teamwork and sportsmanship. This position will focus on developing the skills of our student-athletes, promoting a positive and inclusive environment, and ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct volleyball practices and drills to improve players' skills and teamwork.
• Develop game strategies and ensure players understand their roles during competitions.
• Organize and oversee volleyball matches, including scheduling games and managing logistics.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and player development.
• Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback to facilitate growth.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and games.
• Maintain equipment and facilities in accordance with school policies and safety regulations.
• Promote the volleyball program within the school and community to encourage participation.

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience in volleyball, preferably at the youth or high school level.
• Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
• Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
• Availability to commit to the entire season, including practices, games, and team events.
