Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct volleyball practices and drills to improve players' skills and teamwork.
- Develop game strategies and ensure players understand their roles during competitions.
- Organize and oversee volleyball matches, including scheduling games and managing logistics.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and player development.
- Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback to facilitate growth.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and games.
- Maintain equipment and facilities in accordance with school policies and safety regulations.
- Promote the volleyball program within the school and community to encourage participation.
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience in volleyball, preferably at the youth or high school level.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
- Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
- Availability to commit to the entire season, including practices, games, and team events.
