Position Description:
Our client is seeking a Career Associate (Staff Attorney) with at least 7 years of experience in civil litigation, including exposure to employment litigation, to join their Litigation practice group in the Seattle office. This sustainable position was opened to support a growing team.
This opportunity is part of an innovative Career Associate program designed for attorneys who are passionate about practicing law and delivering exceptional client service, but who prefer a role with a reduced annual time commitment compared to the traditional partner track. The program offers substantive legal work and professional development in a collegial and dynamic environment. Hours are negotiable but tend to average around 1600/year total.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to litigation case teams.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
- Manage discovery tasks, including e-discovery.
- Assist with deposition and trial preparation.
- Oversee case and project management responsibilities.
- Prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced setting.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in complex civil litigation, with some employment litigation exposure.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities.
- Strong academic credentials and a writing sample are required.
