Registered Pharmacist (RPh) – Contract Opportunity

Location: Farmingdale, NY

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Contract: 17 weeks with possible extension and permanent conversion

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Hours: 40 hours/week

Pay: $58/hr ($2320 weekly)

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Pharmacist (RPh) for a full-time contract opportunity in Farmingdale, NY. This is a Monday–Friday daytime position with a consistent schedule and no weekend requirement listed.

The ideal candidate will have retail pharmacy experience and be comfortable providing safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and accurately dispense prescription medications.
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and contraindications.
• Provide professional medication counseling and education to patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff regarding patient medication needs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and pharmacy regulations.
• Monitor medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions or other concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient and medication records.
• Support prescription processing and pharmacy workflow.
• Answer patient questions and provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure proper medication storage, handling, and inventory management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
• Perform other pharmacist duties within the scope of practice as needed.

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist (RPh) license in New York.
• Recent retail pharmacy experience required.
• Strong knowledge of prescription medications, pharmacy procedures, and medication safety.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a pharmacy team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to commit to the full contract and Monday–Friday schedule.
