AR/AP Accounting Specialist | Atlanta, GA | Salary: $40,000 - $55,000
This role will be responsible for managing accounts receivable collections and/or accounts payable functions in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment. The candidate MUST have prior freight forwarding industry experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and collections follow-up
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile customer and vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor aging reports and assist with collection efforts to reduce outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with operations and customer service teams regarding billing and payment issues
- Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting
- Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and policies
- Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Prior freight forwarding or logistics industry experience required
- 2 years of AR/AP or general accounting experience preferred
- Experience handling collections and/or payables
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment
