The Team You Will Be Joining

You will be joining a highly specialized state organization dedicated to advancing cybersecurity operations, protecting sensitive systems, and supporting strategic technology initiatives that impact agencies and communities across Texas. Major Duties

  • Perform advanced (senior-level) human resources management work with considerable latitude for independent judgment and decision-making
  • Utilize CAPPS to manage HR transactions, personnel actions, reporting, and workforce administration activities
  • Support workforce planning initiatives and provide recommendations on staffing strategies and organizational needs
  • Advise leadership and management on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Prepare and maintain confidential HR correspondence, documentation, and reports
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, candidate evaluations, and hiring recommendations
  • Monitor HR programs and identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with applicable State of Texas HR policies and employment regulations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support workforce and operational goals

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 5–7 years of State of Texas human resources experience required
  • Hands-on experience using CAPPS is required
  • Strong understanding of State of Texas HR policies, procedures, and compliance standards
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive personnel matters
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced professional environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred

Exciting Opportunity Details

  • Rate: $57.00/hour
  • Length of Engagement: Contract
  • Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, standard business hours
  • Location: Hybrid – 2 days onsite weekly in North/Central Austin, TX 78756
