As Regional Sales Executive, you'll apply your deep scientific knowledge to drive territory growth across Greater Boston, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Vermont. This role prioritizes technical credibility over sales pedigree because our leadership knows one truth: we can teach sales skills, but we can't teach years of hands-on lab expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct 2-3 customer visits per week, speaking scientist-to-scientist about recombinant proteins, ELISA, SPR, BLI, and cell culture applications
- Manage and expand relationships with 100 research accounts across New England territory
- Translate technical product specifications into solutions that advance customer research goals
- Collaborate with marketing and technical support teams to address complex customer needs
- Develop territory growth strategies using Salesforce CRM to track pipeline and forecast performance
- Attend scientific conferences and networking events to build market presence
- Travel 40-50% within territory plus occasional conferences
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences field (Master's/PhD preferred)
- 3-5 years hands-on lab experience with recombinant proteins, antibodies, or related research applications
- Direct experience in academic, pharmaceutical, or CRO laboratory settings
- Strong understanding of protein assays, cell culture techniques, and research workflows
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts
- Experience level should demonstrate maturity and technical depth in life sciences
Compensation & Benefits:
- Market-competitive base salary $90,000-$110,000 based on experience
- Quarterly commission structure tied to territory growth performance
- Total compensation targets $140,000-$150,000 for top achievers
