Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, an established $100M battery technology company in Henderson, NV.
As Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll drive the complete lifecycle of battery management systems and electrical hardware design. This hands-on role spans R&D through production floor execution, directly impacting product reliability for mission-critical applications where failure is not an option. You'll replace a retiring engineer, bringing fresh perspectives to a team rebuilding cohesion under new leadership.
Your Impact:
- Design and develop Battery Management Systems (BMS) controlling voltage, temperature, current, and state-of-charge monitoring across multiple product lines
- Lead PCBA layout and design using Altium Designer or Cadence OrCad for next-generation energy storage solutions
- Drive electrical system specifications balancing economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on new product development from concept through production
- Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and support quality teams in root cause analysis
- Validate electrical/electronic hardware through comprehensive design reviews and hands-on testing
- Provide technical expertise for CAN, RS485, and external interface implementations
- Maintain engineering design standards while supporting production floor troubleshooting
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8 years electrical engineering experience
- 3 years battery technology or energy storage systems experience
- Strong schematic reading and electronic assembly troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience with CAN, RS485, and external communication interfaces
- Proficiency debugging with oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators, and logic analyzers
- Soldering capability for through-hole and surface mount assemblies
- Experience with project/issue management tools
