As Controller, you will oversee all aspects of the firm’s accounting function and manage a small, capable team while working closely with firm leadership and equity partners.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee the full accounting function, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, taxes, and general ledger
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes and prepare timely, accurate financial statements
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the firm
- Oversee equity partner distributions and related reporting
- Ensure compliance with all tax, regulatory, and internal control requirements
- Supervise and mentor three staff-level accountants, providing leadership, guidance, and development
- Partner with firm leadership to support strategic and financial decision-making
- Continuously improve processes while maintaining the firm’s high standards and professional culture
- Minimum of 8 years of overall accounting experience
- CPA license required
- At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience
- Strong background overseeing a full accounting function; professional services experience is a plus
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and partners
