POSITION SUMMARY: This position administers company-wide human resources policies, procedures and practices in accordance with corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the general guidance of the HR Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: may include some or all the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supports recruiting efforts, including coordinating interviews, screening candidates, and assisting with hiring managers on full cycle recruiting.
- Leads onboarding processes and new hire orientation.
- Helps Manage the intern program, including coordinating development opportunities and tracking of progress on assignments.
- Assists with managing the administration of the company DOT program, ensuring adherence to federal DOT regulations and internal protocols.
- Processes paperwork for the HR department according to established procedures.
- Responds to inquiries regarding company processes, policies, procedures and programs through our HROPS ticketing system and phone line.
- Assist HR Manager with supporting HRIS related projects by working with HRIT to test system functionality, identify issues, and provide feedback to ensure HRIS systems and documentation processes are accurate.
- Assists with subsidiary assignments, including reaching out to employees and assisting with general HR inquiries.
- Stays current on trends, regulatory changes, and stay up to date with federal and state compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance is required.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Education/Experience: Associate degree or equivalent from college or technical school with an emphasis or concentration in Human Resources, or related major; or n two (2) HR administrative experience in an increasingly responsibility role or n equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret laws, regulation, and policies and communicate information in a manner appropriate for the audience n Ability to write reports and business correspondence n Ability to speak effectively to co-workers, customers, and vendors.
- Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, ratios, and n Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
- Reasoning Ability: Demonstrates the ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, laws, and regulations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Computer Skills: Must be able to operate a personal computer and other various standard office machines and equipment necessary to complete duties. Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

- Certificates/Licenses: PHR/SHRM Certification Preferred.
