HR Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage the Transactions Unit functions for the Department.
- Serve as the Department’s subject matter expert on transaction-related matters.
- Develops, reviews, and implements HR program policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Manages timely completion of special projects related to a variety of human resources activities, reports and processes
- Provide advice and consultation, particularly to management and the Executive Office staff, regarding Disability Leave, Family Medical Leave Act/California Family Rights Act, reasonable accommodation, workers' compensation, employee assistance, and related issues; interpret SPB and CalHR laws, rules, and regulations related to services provided by the Human Resources Office.
HR Programs Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage staff in the various work activities related to the C&P functions for the Department
- Provides direct supervision, coaching, training and mentorship to C&P staff to promote professional growth.
- Oversee the development of new classifications and the revision of existing classifications and a broad range of ad-hoc administrative special projects
- Provide advice and consultation, particularly to management and the Executive Office staff, regarding complex and sensitive issues impacting classification and pay, examinations, job analysis, equal employment opportunity, labor relations, employee assistance, and related issues such as performance management and employee disciplinary actions
- Develop, administer, and document the full range of policies and procedures necessary for the delivery of human resources consistent with the Department's mission and goals
