Unarmed Security Officer

Overton Security is currently hiring for an Unarmed Security Officer in the Sacramento area for a local HOA/Warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observation skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Location Type: HOA/Warehouse

Schedule:

#2: Saturday and Sunday 0800-1630 & Monday and Tueday 1600-0030 (32 hours total)

#3: Tuesday to Saturday 2200-0630 (40 hours total)

#4: Sunday to Thursday 0000-0830 (40 hours total)

#5: Friday and Saturday 0000-0830 & Sunday and Monday 2200-0630 (32 hours total)

Patrol Type: Foot/Mobile (ALL candidate MUST meet the insurance requirements to qualify: Be at least 24 years of age, have a current/valid driver's license, clear driving record.)

Hard Requirements: Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Duties:

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage
• Provide customer service to the general public
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and for important occurrences.
• Communicate with local fire and police, Overton Management, SOC and the customer.
• Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees, coworkers, etc…
• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.

Experience & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Have a current BSIS Guard Card
• Have adequate English communication skills, both oral and written
• Have the ability to utilize wireless technology via mobile applications
• Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards
• Must have a neat and professional appearance and hygiene standards

Must have a clean driving record:

• Must provide a recent DMV printout and sign a motor vehicle record release
• For insurance purposes, all candidates must be at least 25 years of age.
• Mobile Patrol position. Must pass driver's background check.
• Valid DL required.
• A safe driving record is a condition for employment as a driver.
• The driver must have three or more current years of verifiable over-the-road experience and a valid US CDL
• Candidates cannot have more than 3 tickets or
• 2 Tickets and 1 accident
• No more than 1 accident
• No major traffic violations (i,e DUI, DWI, DWLS, FMFR)
