Part Time Unarmed Security Officer

Overton Security is currently hiring for an Unarmed Security Officer in the Hayward area for a local shopping center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observation skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Schedule:

Schedule: Monday and Tuesday 12pm-7pm (14 hours total)

Patrol Type: Foot

Duties:

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage
• Provide customer service to the general public
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and for important occurrences.
• Communicate with local fire and police, Overton Management, SOC and the customer.
• Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees, coworkers, etc…
• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.

Experience & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Have a current BSIS Guard Card
• Have adequate English communication skills, both oral and written
• Have the ability to utilize wireless technology via mobile applications
• Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards
• Must have a neat and professional appearance and hygiene standards
• Must have flexible and weekend availability
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must have up-to-date vaccinations
• Must be able to conduct foot patrols during the assigned shift
