Responsibilities
- Source materials, tooling, and machine components by requesting and reviewing supplier quotes
- Compare pricing, quality, and lead times to make smart purchasing decisions
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Partner with engineering, production, and inventory teams to understand needs and priorities
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure the right parts are ordered
- Track orders, follow up on deliveries, and troubleshoot any delays or issues
- Monitor costs and help keep projects aligned with budget and timelines
- 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Experience working with mechanical components, tooling, or similar materials is a plus
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong Excel and general computer skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Effective communicator who can manage multiple priorities at once
