Duties
- Safely operate shuttle vehicles, passenger vans, or other commercial vehicles along designated routes, including local driving routes and hotel property loops.
- Assist guests with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of shuttle vehicles to ensure optimal performance and appearance.
- Communicate effectively with guests and team members using clear, professional language; handle client inquiries politely and promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies while driving, including adherence to hours of service and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to identify potential vehicle issues such as manual handling concerns or maintenance needs.
- Manage GPS navigation systems accurately to ensure timely arrivals at scheduled stops or destinations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or in similar shuttle driving roles; experience with personal vehicle delivery or medical transportation is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., passenger vehicle license), with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of GPS navigation tools and local driving routes for efficient route planning.
- Ability to operate passenger vans, passenger vehicles, or heavy-duty commercial vehicles including limousine or school bus driving experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team coordination; excellent customer service orientation.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and handle manual tasks related to vehicle maintenance or luggage assistance.
- Familiarity with local traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and safety standards for commercial drivers such as paratransit or chauffeur services.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed to support guest transportation schedules.
