This role will provide strategic and practical legal guidance on HR-related issues, policy development, and employment agreements, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.

This role will provide strategic and practical legal guidance on HR-related issues, policy development, and employment agreements, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise HR and leadership on employment law matters, including investigations and compliance issues.
- Draft, review, and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and related documentation.
- Prepare and negotiate separation agreements, retention agreements, and other employment-related contracts.
- Assist with internal investigations and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Support overflow legal work related to employment and labor law.
- Collaborate with HR, compliance, and business leaders to mitigate risk and ensure best practices.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5 years of experience in employment law, preferably in-house or with a focus on insurance/financial services.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
