Educational Transcript Requirements
Official educational transcripts are required for all post-high school educational accomplishments, coursework or degrees claimed on the application. The Center of Public Health Excellence (CPHE) is seeking one (1) Health Planning Administrator 1 to support the leadership, oversight, and advancement of statewide Rural Health and Primary Care programs (e.g., State Office of Rural Health [SORH] program, State Rural Hospital Flex Program, Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program, Primary Care Office, State Loan Repayment Program). Job duties include:
- Supervise Rural Health and Primary Care program staff, provide training, evaluate performance, and manage daily operations.
- Set goals, communicate expectations, and ensure adherence to agency and program policies.
- Oversee development of program materials, reports, newsletters, and grant‑related documents.
- Manage creation and monitoring of grant RFPs, deliverables, and staff work assignments.
- Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of statewide Rural Health and Primary Care programs.
- Support the maintenance of Health Professional Shortage Areas.
- Write and manage federal and state grant applications; serve as liaison with Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA).
- Ensure compliance with federal/state guidelines and complete required reports and communications.
- Develop and manage program contracts; monitor contractor performance.
- Assist with program budgeting, spending oversight, and fiscal/human resource activities.
- Represent the division on interagency workgroups and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
- Respond to public, provider, media, and government inquiries.
- Support data collection and reporting for all funding sources.
- 3 yrs. exp. in health program delivery (e.g., program implementation, program coordination, program monitoring & evaluation, budget development, grant writing/review, providing technical assistance) with experience to be commensurate with approved position description on file.
- Or
- Completion of graduate core program in field of public health, health administration, preventive medicine, social work, nursing or other health-related field, or public policy & management/public administration or business administration with education to be commensurate with approved position description on file.
- Or
- Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
