WIC is seeking to fill the role of Breastfeeding & Special Project Supervisor (Health Planning Administrator 1). In this role you will direct assigned staff and manage the breastfeeding component of the Ohio WIC program and Title V breastfeeding initiatives. Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for women, infants, and children. WIC provides nutrition education, breastfeeding education and support, supplemental highly nutritious foods, and referral to prenatal, pediatric, and other maternal and child health care and human service programs.
WIC is seeking to fill the role of Breastfeeding & Special Project Supervisor (Health Planning Administrator 1). In this role you will direct assigned staff and manage the breastfeeding component of the Ohio WIC program and Title V breastfeeding initiatives. This will entail planning and assigning workload and continually assessing staff skills and abilities to determine areas for development. Additional duties include:
- Develop breastfeeding goals and objectives.
- Develop solicitations and review and direct funding proposals.
- Direct preparation of required reports and records for administrator, state, and federal funders, and ODH Leadership.
- Oversee special projects within the Nutrition and Administrative Services Program.
- Coordinate plan continuing education opportunities related to nutrition and breastfeeding topics.
- Assist in creating and monitoring contracts related to nutrition and breastfeeding programming.
- Serve as a technical resource and content expert on breastfeeding and nutrition projects.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on topics related to job responsibilities.
Position Qualifications
- 3 yrs. exp. in health program delivery (e.g., program implementation, program coordination, program monitoring & evaluation, budget development, grant writing/review, providing technical assistance) with experience to be commensurate with approved position description on file.
- Completion of graduate core program in field of public health, health administration, preventive medicine, social work, nursing or other health-related field, or public policy & management/public administration or business administration with education to be commensurate with approved position description on file.
- Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
