Using data and proven practice, the bureau’s programs support the delivery of direct services, linkages and referrals, population-based supports, program evaluation, education, monitoring and quality oversight, and policy and systems development.
The Bureau of Maternal Child and Family Health is seeking to fill the role of a Health Planning Administrator 1 position that plays a critical leadership role in shaping statewide health programs, strengthening community partnerships, improving healthcare access and driving initiatives that positively impact children, families and communities throughout Ohio: Duties Include:
- Lead and oversee statewide Asthma related program, initiatives, and staff to ensure successful program delivery and achievement of strategic goals.
- Manage program budgets, grants, reporting requirements, and performance metrics while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to improve access to healthcare services for children, families, and underserved populations.
- Build strong partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, local health departments, community organizations, and state agencies.
- Analyze program performance, identify service gaps, and recommend improvements to increase effectiveness and impact.
- Provide technical assistance, policy guidance, and subject matter expertise to stakeholders across the state.
- Lead public health education, outreach, and communication efforts to promote health awareness and program participation.
- 3 yrs. exp. in health program delivery (e.g., program implementation, program coordination, program monitoring & evaluation, budget development, grant writing/review, providing technical assistance) with experience to be commensurate with approved position description on file.
- Completion of graduate core program in field of public health, health administration, preventive medicine, social work, nursing or other health-related field, or public policy & management/public administration or business administration with education to be commensurate with approved position description on file.
- Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
