Hours available 11pm to 7.30am and 3pm to 11.30pm.
Long term contract.
**Job Summary:**
Seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the Department of Corrections, providing quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong medication administration skills, the ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment, and a commitment to serving the corrections population with respect and compassion.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer medications as prescribed by medical providers.
- Monitor and document patient vitals, responses to medication, and any significant health changes.
- Collaborate with medical and corrections staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Manage patient caseloads and work efficiently in a high-demand setting.
- Provide empathetic and professional nursing care to a diverse population within a secure facility.
**Qualifications:**
- Active LPN license in Washington, D.C.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN.
- Excellent nursing and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a high-stress environment.
- Passion for working with the corrections population and dedication to patient care.
