Novus Technical Services is seeking an experienced Field Engineer / Project Engineer β Electrical & Controls to support construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities at a Semiconductor Project in Taylor, Texas.
This role serves as a key interface between engineering, project management, and field installation teams to ensure electrical, instrumentation, controls, and communications systems are installed and commissioned in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Engineering Managers, System Leads, Project Managers, and field personnel to support electrical and controls installation activities
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Ensure field teams have current and accurate engineering deliverables
- Support installation, testing, startup, and commissioning of electrical and controls systems
- Review field modifications and maintain redline and as-built documentation
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to construction teams
- Assist project leadership with progress reporting and schedule updates
- Support turnover and commissioning documentation packages
- Evaluate constructability issues and provide practical field solutions
- Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, client representatives, and engineering teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Controls Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial construction or engineering experience
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Power Distribution Systems
- Instrumentation and Controls
- Building Automation Systems
- Telecommunications Systems
- Low Voltage Systems
- Semiconductor Manufacturing Facilities
- Strong understanding of electrical construction and commissioning practices
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project software tools
