Novus Technical Services is seeking an experienced Field Engineer / Project Engineer – Mechanical to support ongoing construction activities at a Semiconductor Project in Taylor, Texas. This role serves as the critical link between engineering, project management, and field execution teams, ensuring mechanical systems are installed, documented, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with field personnel, subcontractors, engineering teams, and international design resources to support the delivery of complex semiconductor facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Engineering Managers, Project Managers, System Leads, and field personnel to support mechanical system installation and commissioning activities
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
- Ensure field teams have the information required to execute work safely and efficiently
- Support construction planning, work packaging, and installation sequencing
- Identify and resolve constructability issues and field engineering challenges
- Review and document field changes, redline drawings, and as-built documentation
- Assist with schedule development, progress reporting, and project execution planning
- Support system testing, turnover, startup, and commissioning activities
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives
- Evaluate opportunities for value engineering and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting industrial construction, manufacturing, semiconductor, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial projects
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- HVAC Systems
- Mechanical Piping Systems
- Process Utilities
- Cleanroom Infrastructure
- Industrial Mechanical Systems
- Strong understanding of construction execution and commissioning processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Additional Requirements
- Ability to work extended schedules, weekends, and fast-paced construction timelines as required
