Novus Technical Services is seeking an experienced Director of Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality (EHSQ) to lead and oversee our EHSQ programs across industrial and construction operations in Alaska. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving safety culture, regulatory compliance, quality performance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple projects and operational teams.
The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader with extensive experience managing large-scale EHSQ programs in industrial construction, oil & gas, energy, semiconductor, or heavy industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead company-wide Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality programs and initiatives
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, client, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee incident investigations, corrective actions, and risk mitigation strategies
- Manage audits, inspections, compliance programs, and management systems
- Support operational teams with safety leadership and quality oversight
- Develop and maintain EHSQ policies, procedures, and training programs
- Analyze trends and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Serve as primary liaison with clients, auditors, and regulatory agencies
- Mentor and lead EHSQ personnel across multiple projects and locations
Qualifications
- Minimum 10-15 years of progressive EHSQ leadership experience
- Experience in industrial construction, energy, oil & gas, manufacturing, or similar industries
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and quality systems
- Experience with ISO management systems preferred (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Proven ability to lead multi-site operations and field teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- CSP, CHST, CIH, Lead Auditor, or related certifications preferred
