Print Finishing Bindery Machine Specialist — Gurnee, IL

Role Summary

Join Nosco as an employee owner and take the lead in setting up and operating bindery equipment to exacting standards. You’ll combine precision, consistency, and teamwork to deliver quality products safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate bindery/finishing machinery to meet production targets.
• Cross-train on all finishing assets within the Bindery department.
• Perform minor preventive maintenance and repairs; escalate mechanical issues to the Manager and Team Lead; maintain equipment in peak condition.
• Adhere to quality system procedures and complete required documentation.
• Support customer satisfaction objectives, including on-time delivery (OTD).

Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years in bindery (literature folder-gluer) or other technical machine operation.
• Familiarity with basic quality systems and recordkeeping.
• Willingness to work any shift and overtime; thrive in a fast-moving, change-ready environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to sit, stand, and walk for long durations.
• Lift up to 40 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs occasionally; manual dexterity for computer tasks; sustained concentration; speaking, hearing, and vision required to fulfill job functions.

Pay

$19.00 - $27.00 typical range. The final base rate offered depends on skills, qualifications, and experience, within the pay grade for this role.
