Folder‑Gluer Bindery Technician — Gurnee, IL

Your Mission
Own the setup and operation of bindery/finishing equipment so every run meets spec, ships on time, and reflects our quality standards. Work safely, efficiently, and as part of a strong team.
How You'll Contribute
- Set up and run bindery machinery to achieve production goals.
- Cross-train to competently operate all finishing assets within the Bindery department.
- Complete minor preventive maintenance and repairs; immediately report mechanical issues to the Manager and Team Lead; sustain equipment reliability.
- Follow quality procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Drive customer satisfaction metrics, including on-time delivery (OTD).
What You Bring
- Preferred: 2 years in bindery (literature folder‑gluer) or other technical machine operation.
- Experience with core quality systems and documentation.
- Flexibility for any shift and overtime; comfortable with fast pace and change.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Physical capability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs occasionally; manual dexterity for computer-based tasks; ability to maintain prolonged focus. Speaking, hearing, and vision are essential to perform job functions.

Pay range: $ $27.00. Your base rate will reflect your skills, qualifications, and experience within the established pay grade.
