We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient flow of goods in and out of our facility. The ideal candidate is a bilingual leader with a sharp eye for detail, excellent decision-making skills, and a strong foundation in LTL transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control: Perform and ensure 100% quality control checks on all outgoing and incoming orders to guarantee accuracy and product integrity.
- Workflow Management: Efficiently assign tasks and work orders to shipping and receiving employees to optimize daily operations and meet deadlines.
- Driver & Logistics Coordination: Professionally receive, check-in, and manage all inbound and outbound drivers. Coordinate seamlessly with carrier representatives.
- Team Leadership: Provide clear direction and support to the shipping/receiving team, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
- Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for internal teams (customer service, employees) and external partners (drivers, carriers). Proactively communicate any issues or delays.
- Operational Decisions: Make informed, independent decisions on shipping methods, carrier selection, and day-to-day operational challenges to maintain efficiency.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Required: Proven experience (1-2 years) in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse lead role.
- Required: Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is mandatory.
- Required: Solid knowledge of Less Than Truckload (LTL) transportation processes, rates, and carrier relations.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in task delegation and team coordination.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to 100% quality assurance.
- Excellent problem-solving and independent decision-making abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with team members, management, drivers, and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
