Our client, a NY, NY based financial services firm, is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to join their growing Risk Analytics team. This department works heavily with market risk, data analytics, and reporting. The analyst will play a key role in developing and maintaining risk reports, analyzing portfolio exposures, and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance market risk and performance reports
- Analyze large financial datasets to identify trends, exposures, and risk drivers
- Build and optimize data pipelines, reporting tools, and dashboards
- Support portfolio risk analysis, including exposure, performance, and attribution
- Partner with risk, investment, and operations teams to deliver timely insights
- Investigate and resolve data or reporting discrepancies
- Document processes, methodologies, and reporting enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science)
- 2–5 years of experience in risk analytics, financial data, or quantitative analysis
- Strong understanding of market risk concepts
- Proficiency in Python and SQL (required)
- Experience working with large datasets and building analytical tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Salary : $50 - $60
