Job Title: PSR Epic Support Specialist

Summary:
The PSR Informaticist is a unique role that combines Patient Services operational knowledge and expertise in Epic support. This combined role serves both as a Patient Services Representative (PSR) supporting the Patient Services team and as a resource in promoting the effective and efficient use of our electronic health records (EHRs).
This position will encompass all the duties in the current Patient Services Representative job description.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide end-user support for Epic, including coaching, workflows and at-the-elbow support for all departments.

Support EHR new hire orientation and follow up training.

Develop and maintain EHR documentation including current workflows, standardization projects, user manuals, procedures and troubleshooting guidelines.

Support the implementation of EHR upgrades, optimizations, and new systems, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to clinical operations.

Act as a liaison between IT teams and end-users to translate clinical needs into technical solutions.

Collaborate with clinical and operational staff to assess and refine workflows, ensuring they align with best practices and organizational goals.

Contribute to Quality Department special projects.
Qualifications:

High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.

Proficiency in EHR systems, with experience in Epic strongly preferred.

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, willingness to both teach and learn in a collaborative environment

Strong critical thinking, sound judgement, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

Proactive mindset, takes initiative, and embraces challenges
Physical Demands:

Utilize computers in the collection, management, and reporting of patient records

This position will work in a variety of settings, requiring frequent standing and walking

Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum 20 pounds without assistance
Work Environment:

This position is unique in that the Specialist will split their time between being an active PSR supporting the Patient Services team and working with the Quality Team to support Epic across the organization, in either an office setting or with at-the-elbow support

Ability to work with a diverse, sometimes difficult and demanding patient population

Normal overtime/extended work hours in line with staffing needs for both departments
