Summary:
The Epic Support Specialist contributes to our mission by serving as a resource in improving and promoting the understanding, integration and application of information technology directly related to our electronic health record (EHR). This is accomplished by staffing our Epic Support System, providing orientation/training, and evaluating workflows and processes to improve efficient and effective use of our Epic EHR.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide end-user support for Epic, including coaching, workflows and at-the-elbow support for all departments.

Support EHR new hire orientation and follow up training.

Develop and maintain EHR documentation including current workflows, standardization projects, user manuals, procedures and troubleshooting guidelines.

Support the implementation of EHR upgrades, optimizations, and new systems, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to clinical operations.

Act as a liaison between IT teams and end-users to translate clinical needs into technical solutions.

Collaborate with clinical and operational staff to assess and refine workflows, ensuring they align with best practices and organizational goals.

Contribute to Quality Department special projects.
Qualifications:
-
High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.
-
At least one year of work experience with troubleshooting, teaching, or implementation of E.H.R. strongly preferred

Experience with Epic Ambulatory E.H.R strongly preferred

Intermediate to advanced skills with all Microsoft Office 365 products

Experience with training adult learners preferred

Proficient knowledge of medical terminology

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, willingness to both teach and learn in a collaborative environment

Strong critical thinking, sound judgement, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

Physical Demands:

Utilize computers in the collection, management, and reporting of patient records

This position will work in a variety of settings, requiring frequent standing and walking

Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum 20 pounds without assistance
Work Environment:

This position will work in an office setting or with at-the-elbow support for staff at any of our locations.

Ability to work with a diverse, sometimes difficult and demanding patient population

Normal overtime/extended work hours in line with staffing needs for both departments
Benefits:
