To be considered for this position, you must have a current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA).

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/CCMA) to join our Rheumatology team. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical staff. Primary responsibilities include assisting with patient exams and procedures, administering injections, addressing patient messages, and helping with insurance appeals. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential to success in this position. This position will travel to the Crystal and Maple Grove clinic locations.

• Hourly Range: $21.50 - $27.00, based on years of relevant experience.
• Sign-On Bonus: eligible candidates will receive a $1,500 tiered sign-on bonus, paid in three installments.                

Responsibilities:

• Room patients, record vital signs, administering injections
• Provide patient education, communicate effectively with patients and families, and ensure completion of required forms
• Document all relevant information in the electronic health record (eClinicalWorks)
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and sterilize instruments
• Follow procedures and policies to ensure a safe work environment and comply with OSHA standards
• Travel to other clinic locations as requested
• Performs other related duties as assigned

 Requirements:

• Current Medical Assistant Certification/Registered required
• Current CPR Certification
• Reliable and motivated team player who is committed to making a positive impact on patient care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; with the ability to develop rapport and maintain positive relationships with patients, staff, and physicians
• Ability to perform a variety of patient care tasks
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse populations and commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion
