The ideal candidate will be an experienced A&P mechanic with strong inspection and FAA regulatory knowledge, preferably with civilian rotorcraft experience.

What You'll Do

  • Identify discrepancies, defects, and potential safety or quality issues.
  • Verify compliance with applicable FAA regulations and airworthiness requirements.
  • Perform and document inspections involving major repairs, alterations, weight and balance, FAA Form 337, and field approvals.
  • Maintain accurate aircraft maintenance, inspection, parts traceability, and calibration records.
  • Use diagnostic, inspection, and precision measurement equipment.
  • Support quality and safety improvements while minimizing rework, maintenance delays, and AOG situations.
  • Communicate inspection findings clearly with technicians, management, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to maintenance personnel regarding quality and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate held for at least 3 years.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred, or ability to obtain IA within 90-180 days.
  • 7 years of aircraft maintenance, repair, alteration, quality, or inspection experience; 10 years preferred.
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations governing aircraft maintenance and return to service, including 14 CFR Parts 43, 91, 145, and applicable rotorcraft regulations.
  • Working knowledge of FAA Form 337, major repairs/alterations, field approvals, weight and balance, and airworthiness requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical data.
  • Strong aircraft inspection, troubleshooting, documentation, and quality-control skills.
  • Rotorcraft experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and independent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to occasionally travel, including international travel if required.
