What You’ll Do
- Analyze operational and biological datasets to identify performance trends and patterns over time
- Detect anomalies, inconsistencies, and statistical outliers in large datasets and investigate potential root causes
- Evaluate data quality issues and provide clear recommendations to improve accuracy and interpretation
- Develop strong expertise across internal systems, analytics processes, and reporting workflows
- Design and execute small-scale experiments and structured analyses to validate hypotheses and improve outcomes
- Serve as a subject matter resource for technical and scientific inquiries from stakeholders
- Partner cross-functionally with leadership to improve processes, documentation, and repeatable analytical frameworks
- Explore and leverage emerging AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and generate deeper insights from data
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred) in an agricultural, biological, animal science, genetics, statistics, or related discipline
- Strong understanding of biological systems, operational performance metrics, and applied scientific problem-solving
- Experience with statistical analysis, data interpretation, and identifying anomalies in complex datasets
- Demonstrated ability to design experiments, evaluate results, and communicate findings effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, remote-first environment
- Experience with modern analytics tools or programming languages used for scientific or operational analysis (e.g., Python, R, SQL, AI-assisted tools)
- Background supporting external stakeholders, clients, or operational teams in a technical capacity
- Exposure to genetics, biological modeling, or applied research environments
- Experience working in startup or high-growth settings with evolving processes and priorities
