Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Database Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with a forward‑thinking approach to data infrastructure. In this role, you will architect, develop, and optimize the data systems that power their identity and analytics solutions—working at the intersection of large‑scale data engineering, ETL process design, and AI‑assisted workflow optimization.

You will collaborate cross‑functionally to build and continuously refine core data assets. A key expectation of this role is the proactive application of AI tools and techniques to accelerate development cycles, identify optimization opportunities, and elevate the quality of data pipelines. Candidates with hands‑on experience leveraging AI in database and data engineering workflows are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance relational and analytical databases with an emphasis on scalability and reliability.

• Architect and optimize ETL pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and delivering large‑scale structured and semi‑structured data.

Qualifications

Required

• Expert‑level SQL proficiency with 5 years of hands‑on database development experience.

• Proven database design and ETL skills across large‑scale, production environments.

• Experience with Amazon Redshift or comparable cloud‑native analytical databases (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).

• Strong grasp of data modeling, normalization, indexing strategies, and query optimization techniques.

• Excellent analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of resolving complex data challenges.
