Job Description 1: Telecom Installation Engineer (Nokia - Optical)
Location: Hawaiian Islands (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months (Full-Time Contract – 40 hrs/week)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Telecom Installation Engineer to support field deployment activities across the Hawaiian Islands. This role will focus on installation, integration, and commissioning of Nokia Fixed Networks (FN), IP, and Optical products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, turn-up, and commissioning of Nokia FN, IP, and Optical equipment.
- Execute hardware installation including rack & stack, cabling, and power connections.
- Support network deployment, upgrades, and expansion activities.
- Conduct site surveys and ensure installation aligns with engineering designs.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during deployment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and as-built records.
- Work closely with HT teams and follow customer processes and standards.
- Travel across Hawaiian Islands as required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with Nokia FN, IP, and Optical platforms.
- Strong background in telecom installation and field engineering.
- Experience with fiber optics, cabling standards, and network infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and engineering plans.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel and work onsite in Hawaii.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-vendor telecom environments.
- Prior experience supporting Tier-1 telecom operators.
- Certifications in Nokia or relevant telecom technologies.
