This is a contract role (1–3 years) supporting fiber and coax network deployment initiatives, with heavy involvement in quality control, audits, and construction lifecycle management.

You’ll operate independently, own your territory, and play a critical role in expanding connectivity to underserved areas.

  • Fiber construction and/or telecom infrastructure experience
  • Construction field experience (telecom preferred)
  • Experience with Sphere / P2 or similar databases
  • Ability to work independently in a highly distributed team
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively

Desired Skills

  • Cable Maintenance Technician background
  • Experience performing field audits and quality control inspections
  • Familiarity with job tracking systems (e.g., JT/Polaris or similar)
  • Experience working with cross-functional telecom teams
  • Exposure to rural broadband deployment projects

Technology & Tools

  • Job tracking systems: JT / Polaris
  • Standard field reporting tools (laptops, mobile devices, documentation platforms)

Daily Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned sites (routes vary daily; multiple locations possible)
  • Perform field audits on fiber/coax construction work
  • Verify completion and quality of construction and rework activities
  • Document findings and complete required reporting/paperwork daily
  • Manage and track project milestones within job tracking systems
  • Ensure all construction lifecycle milestones are completed and updated
  • Validate permits, invoices, materials, and final job closeouts
  • Participate in weekly calls (including leadership/VP-level updates)
  • Rotate on phone support line (8am–5pm availability required during assigned days)
  • Troubleshoot field issues and confirm job completion statuses

What You’ll Be Doing (Scope Overview)

  • Oversee job lifecycle management from creation through closeout
  • Track milestones, handle SLA exceptions, and reconcile completed jobs
  • Act as a liaison across internal teams (construction, project management, sales, etc.)
  • Support funding requests, material tracking, and project estimates
