NewGen Administrative Services partners with skilled nursing facilities to deliver compassionate, person-centered care. We’re looking for a deeply experienced Billing Specialist II to own complex billing and collections across three facilities. This is the role for a SNF billing pro who knows California Medicaid cold and thrives working independently.
What you’ll do:

Audit and manage billing accounts for three facilities with precision and efficiency

Communicate with Medicare, California Medicaid (Medi-Cal), HMOs, and other payors to ensure fast, accurate reimbursement

Proactively handle collections, set up payment plans, and resolve account discrepancies

Serve as the trusted billing expert for patients and families—via phone and virtual channels—answering questions and collecting balances with empathy
What you bring:

Must have: 5 years of verifiable Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) billing experience

Must have: Deep working knowledge of California Medicaid (Medi-Cal), Medicare, and HMO billing rules

Must have: Proven ability to manage collections, resolve complex billing issues, and communicate sensitively with patients

Must have: Self-starter mindset and comfort working remotely with minimal supervision

Nice to have: High-volume billing and collections experience

Nice to have: Billing and coding certification
