What You’ll Do
- Audit and manage billing accounts for three facilities with precision and efficiency
- Communicate with Medicare, California Medicaid (Medi-Cal), HMOs, and other payors to ensure fast, accurate reimbursement
- Proactively handle collections, set up payment plans, and resolve account discrepancies
- Serve as the trusted billing expert for patients and families—via phone and virtual channels—answering questions and collecting balances with empathy
- Must have: 5 years of verifiable Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) billing experience
- Must have: Deep working knowledge of California Medicaid (Medi-Cal), Medicare, and HMO billing rules
- Must have: Proven ability to manage collections, resolve complex billing issues, and communicate sensitively with patients
- Must have: Self-starter mindset and comfort working remotely with minimal supervision
- Nice to have: High-volume billing and collections experience
- Nice to have: Billing and coding certification
