Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain infection control policies and procedures
- Conduct regular rounds to identify and address infection control risks
- Provide education and training to staff on infection control best practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement prevention and control measures
- Monitor and report outbreaks and incidents of infection to senior management and relevant authorities
- Conduct surveillance and trend analysis to identify areas for improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote excellence in infection control
- RN license in the state of Connecticut
- Experience as an Infection Control Nurse
- Strong knowledge of infection control principles and practices
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
